Reiki begins with the evaluation of a person’s health. It is initially the psychological assessment which is done by determining the energy type and level in a person. In case these are low or not functioning, then Reiki’s healing power can cause them to initiate working and reach optimum levels.
The evaluation is done to identify and locate the specific beliefs, ideas, conceptions, emotions, thoughts, feelings and behaviour patterns. This is done to know the psychological difficulties a person is facing and the causative wrong energy patterns in the person. The idea is to focus on how the client presents himself or herself which is a direct effect, immediate, implication and consequence of his or her physical, emotional, psychological and mental makeup.
Once the assessment is done, plan of action for providing holistic healing, begins. Whole-body and local-area sweeping of negative energy is done to make way for exclusively positive energy. The focus is on the diseased and stressed-out areas of the body and to restore the balance of energy in the chakras. The chakras are basically the energy centres of the body and determine the performance and function of the healing energy in the body. They determine how the energy flows inside the body and to different parts of the body. In case the chakras do not function properly and the distribution of universal energy is disturbed, all kinds of diseases, disorders and illnesses are definitely going to occur.
Therefore, it is imminent that the chakras function at their optimum level and there is not even the slightest malfunctioning. Sweeping is done by passing over the hand into and around the client’s energy field. It is a very powerful and effective way of eliminating and clearing negative elements that are lodged in the client’s energy field. This way, the areas of energy congestion, depletion, pattern and imbalance is detected. It has been reported by clients that they have experienced heightened awareness of their energy field. As a result, they experience themselves in more thoroughness, depth and detail.
After this, Reiki is applied which is used to detect malfunctioning of the energy field as well as cure. It is usually done through head and feet. On receiving the energy mappings, healing is done. This relieves aches, tension and imbalance from the body and there is a lease of fresh, new and positive energy. It becomes the next step because the energetically imbalanced and depleted areas of the body which present as psychological and emotional information.
