Distance healing is an important part of Reiki. It enables a practitioner to send healing to clients elsewhere. It is used to heal clients over long distances such as across continents and seas even. But this requires the distant healing symbol. Healing through distant symbol is practiced by Reiki practitioners for a long time now. But some may have difficulty drawing this symbol because it is not easy to draw and requires proper and accurate drawing to make distant healing through Reiki effective. The distant Reiki can be sent to others who are not physically present with the practitioner and the symbol acts as a bridge between the two. It has a number of uses and it can be applied to situations, events. Distant Reiki can also be given to situations, events and happenings from the past or the future. You can also imagine the distant healing symbol and act like a bridge between you and the client person or the place or situation, condition etc.

The Reiki symbol is not just a piece of drawing but has world of meaning behind its use. It has much to offer and it includes hidden messages. Its meaning makes it highly capable for curing or healing any person or anything abstract. It contains very powerful meanings and intentions and its aim is to send healing to all those need it and it does not matter where they are located. The healing sent by the practitioner travels even to the distant and remote past and future because time is not a barrier in its way. Nor is place a barrier, therefore, there are no obstructions on its way if there is good intention behind it. It means the practitioner should be willing to heal the client and the client should be willing and ready to accept the healing.

But it should be kept in mind that Reiki does not change anything in the past because it cannot be changed. You cannot alter a situation or even in the past by sending Reiki to it. But we send Reiki to heal. We can heal the damage done, the emotions suffered, the pain caused etc. Also, we are healing the emotions, pain and suffering as existing today as the result of those past events etc. The aim or goal of sending Reiki to distant abstract and physical aspects is to release the unwanted emotions associated with the person or other aspects and heal it.
