Reiki is a great treatment or healing way for anybody. It only requires the willingness of the client to proceed. There are no requirements of education or any other qualification for giving this therapy. It teaches many lessons to both the healer and the healed. It can be described as truly a magic. One of them is the value of faith, mutual trust and belief. It is very important while imparting healing to anybody because you trust in the energy flowing through you. The energy is intelligent energy which flows on its own but only needs to be channeled by the practitioner to the client. You need not concentrate hard to enable the energy to come and flow in the body. You should never try hard. It not only does not help but creates blockade as well. It just restricts the free flow of energy. The requirement is to trust the energy fully. It will find its own way and if you try hard to control it that will only cause harm.
