Reiki healing can be used to heal others for part of making a living as well. You can do it even after completing the level 1 training and start a practice. Creating Reiki practice is therefore, not an impossible or very difficult thing because you need not be a Master to do it. Earlier, Reiki II training cost huge and only few could afford it and it was not considered unusual to start practice after taking the I class. You should also remember that Takata Sensei gave professional Reiki lessons when he had completed the level 1 training even as he worked Dr. Hayashi’s clinic.

The most important thing to remember here is that you are not healing the client but it is the universal, conscious and intelligent energy which is doing the healing. It is infinite in Nature and knows what exactly to do with a client. This energy is guided by the highest wisdom and you are only a medium for the energy to flow through to the client’s body. So it is not possible that it will not work when you have the intent and the client is in need of it. You must have full belief, confidence and faith in the power and ability of the eternal and limitless energy in its power to heal.

You do not have to do anything extraordinary but only place your ego by the side and let the strong energy do its work. It can be done after the first level if you have the belief and intent to do so. There have been instances when students have done the healing by organising sessions and healed after the first level only. In case you have higher degree, it is better but it does not mean that it cannot be done without them. They can prove to be better because the highest degree of Master prepares you as a teacher and you can teach others but healing can be begun earlier also.

You can definitely start treating your friends and family to start with. Practicing Reiki has enormous benefits because you can carry it along with your classes. You can also do it from your home which means there is almost no investment because there is no other requirement or investment besides knowledge. You will have the double satisfaction of pursuing Reiki and teaching, treating or healing those who are interested in getting cured or who are just interested.
